With the Galaxy Buds+, Samsung didn’t showcase a breakthrough design, making the product more like an upgrade than an actual refresh. However, in newly leaked renders that have gone online, it seems that Samsung has finally made a major change. The wireless earbuds are now beans.
The renders, which were released by Winfuture, are based on 3D data from a manufacturer whose name remains anonymous. According to the German tech website, the new earbuds are codenamed “Beans.” Apart from the completely different shape, the renders indicate that the new Samsung earbuds will be much smaller, sleeker, which means they will less likely hurt your ears.
It’s stated on Winfuture that the bean buds are about 2.8 centimeters long and can fit the ear in a way that its back part fills the ear canal’s upper part. Meanwhile, the lower part of the ear canal would hold the integrated speakers.
Regarding specifications, the German tech site reveals that the bean buds will have two small speakers along with multiple inbuilt microphones to make calls as well as filter out surrounding noise. Besides, there may be a recessed sensor to detect if the buds are being put on.
However, it seems that the new Samsung earbuds won’t come with active noise canceling feature, which may set the product back in comparison with Apple AirPods Pro. The renders also show that there are no silicone tips or wings to seal the sound.
We will have to wait for official details from the maker, but Winfuture says that the bean buds are going through validation testing. This means Samsung may still modify the design or just pull the product. No matter what, the renders do illustrate some interesting earbuds to look forward to.
