Rumor has it that Samsung is copying Apple again with the move to remove the wall charger and the earphones from the packages of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 lineup, which is scheduled to be out in January next year.

Interestingly, in October, Samsung mocked Apple’s omission of the earpieces and charger from the boxes of the iPhone 12 lineup, and yet a few months later, it does the same thing.
A few days ago, the Galaxy S21 lineup, which includes the S21, the S21+, and S21 Ultra got approved by the Agência Nacional De Telecomunicações (or the ANATEL) – the Brazilian agency responsible for managing radiofrequency spectrum and implementation of national telecommunications policy.
After that, some information got out, includes a claim that the S21 lineup won’t have a headset or a charger in the box.
Samsung Mocked Apple And Then Copied It
When announcing the iPhone 12 series, Apple startled everyone by saying that it would exclude the earbuds and the wall charger from the package of the new phones.
Apple’s arch-enemy Samsung immediately took the opportunity to make fun of the decision by posting a picture of a charger and a tweet “Included with your Galaxy.”

The mockery appeared to be a mistake as the company quickly regretted posting it and after that removed it. Now we know why the Korean tech giant is about to follow suit.
Helping The Environment
According to Lisa Jackson, the head of environmental initiatives at Apple, the company’s decision is for the shake of the environment. She said the removal of these items would reduce carbon emission and precious material mining.
Without the charger and the earpieces, iPhone 12 boxes would be smaller and thus reducing the amount of greenhouse gas needed to transport them.
Samsung might cite the same reason for excluding the earbuds and charger.
