If you use a Samsung Galaxy phone, you might be one of those who received a weird notification on Wednesday evening that mysteriously says “1.” Samsung Galaxy handset owners around the world went on Reddit, Twitter, as well as the official forums of the Korean tech giant to report the message they got from the Find My Mobile app.
On the phone, the notification read “1,” and there’s another “1” under it. The notification just disappeared when people tapped on it, leaving users everywhere in confusion. The notification was reported to show up on the Galaxy S9, Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 10, and Galaxy Z Flip.

Find My Mobile is an app that helps users locate their phones and tablets while protecting their data, Samsung said.
Some hours after the weird notification appeared on Galaxy phones, the mysterious incident was explained on the official Twitter account of Samsung UK. Accordingly, the notification was sent unintentionally in an internal test and users’ phones are not affected by this.

Last summer, there was a similar incident where OnePlus phone users received unusual notifications, one of which was written in the Latin alphabet and the other in Chinese characters. The phone maker then said that the messages belonged to an internal test, just like in Samsung’s case.
In related news, Samsung said that is newly launched Galaxy Z Flip has been sold out online, with a new batch coming today. While the phone seems to be awaited by many people with rumors surfacing months ago, the Korean maker didn’t say how many phones it sold exactly. The Z Flip early reviews also indicated that the phone runs into a screen problem, where its “glass” screen did not perform well in a durable test, easily harmed with just fingernails.
