Netflix is now available in Hindi, part of the company’s ongoing effort to strengthen its position in the Indian market.
The movie streaming service also has some other offers to woo Indian customers, like an increasingly large Indian content to stay relevant to the country’s love for desi movies and more budget-friendly plans.
Netflix believes that the move will make the platform more appealing to Indian users.
With the Hindi UI, everything users see and interact with, like payment, signing up, and search are displayed in this language. The new UI will be made available to the Indian audiences across platforms, including website, mobile, and TV app.
Those who have already had a Netflix account can find the language options in the Manage Account section. The task can be done on a mobile browser, TV, or desktop.
However, the change in language will not be applied across your Netflix profiles. You will have to change to Hindi manually if you want the same language for all of your profiles.
The addition of Hindi UI follows the announcement of 17 new originals for the Indian market.
It looks like Netflix is ramping up the game in the country especially when Amazon Prime Video and Disney Plus Hotstar are doing the same to gain more market shares.
