Salaries are clearly a critical factor motivating any expert to decide to move on to another job. On Thursday, the famous professional social network - LinkedIn just launched a new feature in India. The "LinkedIn Salary" feature will give the members the details of salary levels based on geographic location and job title.

According to the Microsoft-owned company, this feature makes it easier for job seekers to find and have a job that suits them. Based on the data collected from more than 53 million users across India, the feature accurately diagnoses the wages of different occupations in each location.
Using this feature, professionals using the platform can have a better understanding of the whole picture of compensation, and that includes equity and bonus data for specific positions. This feature will also involve several factors affecting salaries like work experience, education level, industry and company scale, work location, and so on. Hence, making a decision to choose the job is easier and more thoughtful.

How the feature looks like
LinkedIn Salary will make the job market more transparent and efficient. LinkedIn claims that they want to empower their members to make the right decisions in choosing jobs on their platform through credible data. LinkedIn manager in India - Ajay Datta, said the feature helps job seekers find out what compensation packages they expect to receive and different wages for different industries and levels of education.
If you are a free account user, you must contribute to the data by indicating your current salary and then you can use this “LinkedIn Salary” feature. LinkedIn Premium members do not need to provide their salary information, but they can still use this feature.
In addition, this feature helps to classify and provide detailed information on the highest paying companies that match your education, experience, and occupation.
