The first data centre was located in Telangana. With these data centres, Flipkart is focusing on deploying cloud services and expanding the scale of e-commerce business in the Indian market.
In addition, the company is expecting to improve its ability to narrow the distance between consumers and sellers, as well as micro, small or medium-sized enterprises (also known as MSMEs) when they come to the online marketplace.
Considering the design, the new facility is under Tier 4. The majority of the power that is used in this facility hails from renewable energy. Accordingly, Flipkart has built one of the greenest data centres in the country with a low total of power usage effectiveness.

In addition, Flipkart also partnered with the Tier-4 Datacenter CtrlS to establish the Hyderabad-based data centre. The CEO of CtrlS Sridhar Pinnapureddy was among the ones to take part in the inauguration. According to Rajneesh Kumar,
According to Jayesh Ranjan, Telangana has become the first state in India that released a policy concerning data centres.
