In 2018, eBay made an announcement on its plan to combine almost all of the end-to-end payment methods on its own platform before the year 2021 comes to an end.

eBay has been in collaboration with Google to develop the payment service for purchases via Google Pay. The managed payments program is set to allow eBay consumers to apply their favourite payment method to check out while they keep operating on its platform.

Consumers who have accounts on Google Pay can complete all vital steps in their daily purchases from choosing products to checking out on the website or application of eBay.

However, you should know that the new method of payment is just applied to some certain products that are provided by vendors as participants of the managed payments program.

According to the California-based e-commerce company, the partnership between eBay and Google will officially come into effect in April 2019 and the eBay Android application will be the first one introduced to the users. Before that, eBay has already supported its consumers to check out by accessing the Apple Pay app on both the two Apple’s platforms including Safari and iOS.
