Donald Trump Should Switch To Huawei To Avoid Spys, Says China

Recently, The New York Times reported that Russia and China are spying on US President when he calls his friends with his unsecured iPhone. The report said China listens to Trump’s phone calls, collects information of Trump’s acquaintances and takes advantage of them to make influence on the President for keeping the administration’s trade war from enlarging.

China quickly denied the accusation in the article. China’s spoke person for the foreign ministry, Hua Chunying, suggested that Trump switch to Huawei if he’s concerned about iPhone’s security, obviously implying that Huawei is more secured than iPhone.

On Thursday, in her briefing in Beijing, Chunying called the report “fake news” and mocked that some people in the US are working hard to win an Oscar award for the best screenplay.

Considering Chuying’s suggestion of switching to Huawei, she seems to slyly refer to US government ban on using services and technologies from China. The heads of FBI, NSA and CIA even warn US citizens against using Huawei products.

Chris Wray, FBI Director, said that they have serious concern about letting entities and companies from any foreign government that have different values to occupy a place in their telecommunication networks.

Officials, both former and current, told that Donald Trump has three iPhones, including two phones altered by NSA for abilities and vulnerabilities limits, and one regular iPhone.

The New York Times also states that because phone calls are being intercepted when traveling between cell towers, calls from any phone can pose risks.
