Asus ROG Phone 2 Ready To Get Android 10 Update

Taiwan-based brand Asus recently announced that Android 10 is ready to arrive in its gaming-centric ROG Phone 2 model, citing that updates will be rolled out on a regular basis. The Android 10 comprises of several new enhancements and features, including improved privacy configurations, gesture navigation, and Dark theme. From now on, ROG Phone 2 devices will get Android 10 through a so-called FOTA update (aka firmware-over-the air).

In particular, Dark mode can be loaded on the entire phone as well as specific apps. If users enable the Gesture Navigation, they’re able to control the phone with simple gestures. For example, they can swipe to navigate back or pull to summon Google Assistant. Privacy updates focus on how users can better their control over personal data. These include the redesign of privacy controls as all of them are now reunited in the same place or customize how location data is shared with any app.
Aside from the aforementioned things, ROG Phone 2 will receive a slew of system improvements and patches for bugs owing to the coming of Android 10.

In India, Asus ROG Phone 2 was priced at Rs. 37,999 at the initial launch time. As a dedicated gaming phone, the 6.59-inch ROG Phone 2 boasts an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, 2340x1080 resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate. The Asus-branded device comes packed with a 2.96GHz 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 855 Plus processor and a 675Hz Adreno 640 GPU.
Some of the most noticeable features on the ROG lineup are also available on the ROG Phone 2, such as the glowing logo at the back, four Noise Reduction-enabled microphones, and Air Trigger.
