How To Seal The Apple Watch To Take It To The Pool

Here is how you can activate the water-resisting capacity of the Apple Watch. However, please note that the watch can be safe under certain conditions only

Nowadays, more and more electrical vehicles have water-resistant capacity, and the Apple Watch is no exception. Those who own the very first generation may not have this benefit, but with the second and above, wearers do not need to take the watch out when they go into the shower, to the pool, or going running.

The watch can do more than keeping liquid from seeping to the inside; it can even expel it in case some water makes it in.

However, owners of the Apple Watch may have to take the matter into their own hands sealing the device before jumping into the pool or something like that.

tap on the icon with the water drop

  • Open the Command Center by swiping up from any screen.
  • To scroll up or down, either flicking your fingers or rotating the crown. When you see the icon of a water drop, tap on it.
  • Here is what happens next: the Apple Watch will seal its microphones and speakers, as well as prevent the screen from responding to swipes and taps.

When you are no longer near water, activate the watch again by rotating the crown. It will beep and then remove any liquid that may seep through, and activate the responsiveness of the screen again.

The watch might do so automatically if it senses that you are swimming or when you tell it that you are about to go swimming.

Please note that the Apple Watch is not waterproof, it is only water-resistant, so it cannot handle the depth of scuba diving or the force when you go water skiing. Its seals can also be worn off if it comes in contact with lotions, soapy water, sunscreens, or when you take it to saunas or steam baths.

Finally, not all of the parts on the watch is water-resistant so check the band regularly too.
