Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Unveiled With 7,040mAh Battery & 10.4" Display

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is a watered-down version of the Galaxy Tab S6 launched last year in the mid-range segment.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 released last year is one of the best Android-powered tablets that you can get. The device comes with a powerful hardware configuration at the time, paired with a beautiful display, S-Pen, high-quality speakers, and more.

However, the Galaxy Tab S6 price is a bit on the high-end segment and not everyone can afford it. To solve this issue and give users more choices, Samsung has released a watered-down version of the tablet dubbed Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite with Exynos 9611 SoC and a 10.4-inch display.

There were quite a lot of leaks surrounding this mid-range tablet since early this year. Being a watered-down version of the premium Galaxy Tab S6, this new Galaxy Tab S6 Lite could be considered as an upgraded model of the Galaxy Tab S5e that launched last year in the same mid-range segment.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite rocks a 10.4-inch screen with 1,200 x 2,000 resolution, but to lower the costs, Samsung replaced the AMOLED display on the Galaxy Tab S6 with the TFT LCD one on the Tab S6 Lite, which offers lower brightness & lower color accuracy.

The device is also cut to dual speakers, instead of four speakers on the high-end model. Samsung also removes the magnetic contact pins, indicating that there is a possibility that Samsung's new keyboard won’t support this Lite version. Don’t worry as you can still use a protective case with the S Pen holder (as shown below).

Under the hood, the tablet is equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 9611 chip, which is an overclocked version of the Exynos 9610 that has been used on multiple mid-range Galaxy devices such as Galaxy A51 or Galaxy M31, Galaxy M21, and more. You can get the handset in a single variant with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, with an option of expanding via a microSD card slot. Powering the phone is a massive 7,040 mAh battery.
