ATK Dragonfly A9 Ultimate+ Gets a Magnetic Charging Dock

ATK has expanded its Dragonfly A9 lineup with a new Ultimate+ model that includes a magnetic charging dock. The mouse is aimed at players who want flagship tracking and high polling rates, but do not want to plug in a cable every time the battery runs low.

The standout feature is the new charging base. Place the mouse on the dock and it starts charging without a cable attached to the mouse itself. ATK also says the system supports automatic pairing, so the mouse can reconnect to the base without repeating the setup process. The dock doubles as a rest for the mouse between sessions, which should keep a desk cleaner than a dangling USB-C cable.

Inside, the mouse uses a PixArt PAW3955 Master sensor paired with a 54-series controller. ATK rates tracking at up to 50,000 DPI, 850 IPS, and 75G acceleration. Competitive firmware is listed at 20,000 FPS, and claimed end-to-end latency is 0.181 milliseconds. Polling reaches 8,000 Hz in both wireless and wired modes, which is the figure most relevant to players on high refresh rate monitors.

The magnetic charging version uses a 500 mAh high-density battery. ATK claims up to 350 hours of use, a figure that typically applies at 1,000 Hz rather than at the maximum polling rate. That is shorter than the larger 800 mAh cells found in some other A9 Ultimate models, but the dock is meant to make top-ups easy enough that the smaller pack is less of a concern.

The shell measures 125 x 63.5 x 40 mm and is sized for medium to large hands. The shape is symmetrical and supports claw, palm, and fingertip grips. ATK uses its Rapid Light optical switches and a TTC Gold scroll wheel. A nano coating is applied to the shell for a smoother grip that is easier to wipe down after long sessions.

Connectivity is dual mode: 2.4 GHz wireless through ATK’s GEM 8K receiver, plus wired USB. There is no RGB lighting. Players can adjust DPI, polling rate, lift-off distance, and button mapping through ATK’s software.

In China, the magnetic charging model opened for sale on September 29, 2026, with a first-sale price of 319.6 yuan and a promotional gift of ATK cooling sleeves. Availability and pricing outside China will depend on regional retailers. For players already considering the A9 Ultimate+, the dock is the clearest reason to pick this variant over the standard cable-charged model.
