The smart TV has surfaced on BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) ahead of its official launch, revealing that it will come with a 55-inch 4k UHD panel as well as having a model number of 55CAUHDN. While we wait for its official launch, some leaked images and features of the Nokia TV have made it online. From the leaked images, it could be possible that the TV would come with ultra-slim bezels. The design with brushed metal on corners can easily be spotted. There is a chance that the TV will come with JPL speakers, with “Sound by JBL” branding.
According to Flipkart, to offer consumers an immersive sound experience, the Nokia TV will have clear vocal tones and minimal harmonic distortion. It is confirmed that the TV will support Dolby Audio as well as DTS TruSurround via the front-firing speakers. 5.1 surround sound and playback via JPL speakers are also available. The TV would run on Android 9 OS and have a pre-installed Google Play Store.
There’s a rumor that the Nokia TV will have “Intelligent Dimming technology.” This specific technology uses algorithms to bring better contrast, similar to micro dimming or local dimming of other manufacturers. The smart TV will only be available on Flipkart. The targeted customers are those living in Tier 2 and 3 cities.
The Nokia smart TV, which will be officially launched on December 2nd, will only come with a 55-inch model and will reportedly have a price tag of Rs 40,000. It will take on smart TVs from brands such as Xiaomi, Thomson, iFALCON, and Vu, among many others.
