Steam’s First “100% Uncensored” Adult Game Is About To Launch

The game is called “Negligee: Love Stories” and is classified as erotic visual novels. When playing this game, you will control the main character whose goal is to make friends, flirt and ultimately get laid with the other partners throughout the story.

A new game was launched on Steam in September and is a special one. It is the first “100% uncensored” game ever to be released on Valve’s platform.

The game is called “Negligee: Love Stories” and is classified as erotic visual novels. When playing this game, you will control the main character whose goal is to make friends, flirt and ultimately get laid with the other partners throughout the story. Although the main attraction of this game genre is its adult content and was very common on the platform, it is also an obstacle that Steam had to cope with recently.

Obstacles for the developer

It was not that hard to find an ample amount of erotic games on Steam until a few months ago. Without classifying any of these games into a clear category, Valve unofficially accepted a lot of them to appear on their platform, giving players a chance to freely look for adult content.

Then all of a sudden, Valve made a swift change in May. They started removing erotic games on Steam, saying that they are reported as pornography content. This action upset these games’ developers since they were mainly earning money from selling their games on Steam. They also stated that their games maybe erotic and contain adult content, although they are not explicit pornography and Valve’s new policy had affected them heavily. It also confused some players as they did not know what actually happened to their games.

Valve was also reconsidering the launching of then to-be-released games since the firm did not find out any solution to classify these adult games into their existing categories. This, however, made the developers come up with a new idea as they censor all the sensitive content to get their games on the platform, they also implied that players could download patches from a 3rd source to "reveal" the games if they wished to. Yet that was just a temporary solution and they still hoped that Valve would do something about it.

Eventually, Valve had made a clear decision in June, saying that they would not be too harsh to games as long as it is not illegal or “trolling”. Since then, they have approved only one game. You guessed it, it is Negligee: Love Stories of Dharker Studios. Although this may be a good news for erotic games’ developers, Valve also featured a new filter system on their platform. From now, if an erotic game is approved by the company, it will be marked as “Adults Only” and can only be found if you turn off the filter in your settings.

So for players who are interesting in seeing animated girls being seductive, you will officially have the right to play it as long as you are old enough.

Why is it even important?

It is pretty comprehensible if some of you still do not think this is something worth boasting about. However, this is not the matter of what you like or care about, but rather the matter of freedom. People have their right to play any kind of game they wish to and Steam is making a great effort to ensure that their players have that right, especially when they have marked and use a special filter system so that it will not be accessible for those who are not interesting or not old enough to play.

So you can pretty much feel secure when it comes to selecting games on the platform. You will never be able to come across an adult game if you wish not to. Steam has created a multi-step process including confirming your age and approval before you can see and download those games.

They will warn you and ask for confirmation before you can access the game

Plus, parents now own the right to detect if their kids are lying since if they see an adult game on the child’s screen, it is all because the kid was really trying to access it at any cost. So, kids, if you are not old enough then don’t expect something sexy, remember that it is forbidden.
