In June, KFC (short for Kentucky Fried Chicken) introduced the KFConsole only a day after the revelation of PS 5. The company said the console came equipped with a red-hot grill inside a chicken chamber to keep your fried chicken warm while you played.

The KFConsole was a fun prank back then but now, KFC showed that it was serious with the idea of having its own gaming console which is powered by Intel Nuc 9 minicomputer.

On Tuesday, the chicken-warming console was introduced on Twitter by Mark Walton – Intel PR representative, confirming the speculation that KFConsole isn’t a hoax. On the same day, fried chicken chain Gaming Twitter made public a new video showing the console’s chicken-warming chamber.

According to Cooler Master, a Taiwan-based computer hardware manufacturer, the console is capable of running the latest games at 4K and 240FPS. KFConsole also features ray tracing and VR.

What sets the console apart is its chicken-warming chamber which will keep gamers’ pre-cooked chicken warm while they play. According to Cooler Master, the system makes use of the console’s heat and the built-in airflow system to prevent the chicken from going cold.

However, the company has yet to announce where they plan to sell the KFConsole. The three companies haven’t responded to the request for comments.

Last year, the fast-food chain released a game dubbed I Love You Colonel Sanders Dating Simulator Game. The chain also encouraged people to make KFC builds in the game Minecraft and share their creations.
