Nowadays, the Wi-fi connection is indispensable. We need Wi-fi to know about what is happening globally every day and also to work. To connect to Wi-fi, most of the time, you will need a password. However, if you have forgotten it, here is how to get it back.
In fact, it is possible to recover your Wi-Fi password regardless of whether the default password has been changed or you forget it. Whether that network is connected to a Mac or Window PC, it is always possible to get it back.
Way To Recover The Default Wifi Password Of Your Router
It is common knowledge that each router has its own unique password. In case the default one is still in use, you can see it on the router. By looking over the device carefully, you will see a sticker containing the Wireless network name and password. The label is usually at the bottom of the router. Now, just enter the password to hook up to the Wi-fi network. Please bear mind that this way if effective only if the default one has not been changed.
How To Get The Present Wifi Password On Windows
You do not need to worry about forgetting the password if that network has already connected to Windows-based PCs or laptops. The reason is that Windows usually remember it. To get the password, follow the steps below:
- Control Panel > Network Sharing Center. You can do this in another way. Right-click on the icon of Wireless network. Then, "Open Network and Sharing Center" will appear, click it.
- Click the current Wi-fi connection’s name
- You will see "Wireless Properties" in which you can find the Wi-fi Status Windows.
- Select the tab named Security and choose "Show Characters."
Then, you will see the password.
