These Are Must-Watch Netflix Indian Series During COVID-19 Lockdown

2. Delhi Crime

Delhi Crime is based on one of the most heart-wrenching and shocking rape incidents in New Delhi. You may also know the incident as the name Nirbhaya rape case, which had received massive attention in other countries due to the gruesome nature of the crime. However, the media mostly focused on the incident and the victim.

Filmmaker Richie Mehta gives us a good look behind the scenes of the investigation into this case by the Delhi Police. It navigates through multiple issues faced by the Delhi Police during their investigation such as political influences, bureaucratic pressures, and also lack of resources.

7. Selection Day

Selection Day is a Netflix Indian series starring Ratna Mahesh Manjrekar, Rajesh Tailang, Pathak Shah, as well as two young stars Yash Dholye and Mohammad Samad. The series tells the story of two teenagers Radha and Maju in a small town, aspiring to become international cricketers. Their father is their coach and is also a very strict taskmaster. They are both offered a scholarship to a very prestigious sports school and things start to change. 

The series shows how the two boys discover their personalities, the way their relationship evolves with their father, and how much pressure they have to face in order to succeed.

8. Little Things

Little Things is another great Netflix Indian series, but if you want an action-packed movie, this is not the right one for you. It currently has two seasons and the third one is on the way. It is based on the life of a young couple, Dhruv and Kavya, who are currently living in Mumbai. It is about the daily life of the couple and their relationship over the years. What is great about it is the light-hearted yet relatable and relevant stories.

9. Ghoul

Another great Netflix Indian series, the Ghoul has the themes of supernatural horror and is currently available in three seasons. 

The story is set in a totalitarian near-future India. The main plot of the story revolves around the interrogation of a terrorist Ali Saeed in a top-secret military interrogation center that ignites a series of supernatural and horrifying events in the aftermath.
