Most prepaid subscribers have got the benefits from their prepaid combos, but some don’t get talk time benefits. In 2019, Bharti Airtel killed talk-time recharges, after which many users had problems as they no longer had the free incoming call benefit. To make up for this loss, Airtel smart recharge packs were created.

What is smart recharge in Airtel?

Smart recharge Airtel packs are offered for prepaid subscribers to maintain a minimum balance in their accounts so they can keep using services.

Some smart recharge also includes some mobile data to provide users with an appropriate solution for their cellular needs.

Why is Airtel smart pack recharge important?

As we mentioned at the beginning of this post, last year, Airtel killed the talk time plans and introduced a minimum recharge scheme. With the scheme, prepaid users have to recharge after every 28 days or they cannot make calls starting the day when their plans expire. In addition, incoming calls will be barred after 15 days.

Not all users can recharge the Rs 119 prepaid plan monthly, so Airtel decided to introduce smart charge plans.

Airtel smart recharge 23 and Rs 35

The Rs 35 Airtel smart recharge plan offers 100MB of data along with Rs 26.55 worth of talk time. The plan is valid for 28 days.

As for the Rs 23 smart recharge plan, users will not get data or talk time, but they will get extended validity as well as a special rate for SMS and calls. Specifically, the rate for calls is 2.5p per second, the rate for SMS is Rs 1 per message, and the rate for STD SMS is Rs 1.5 per message.

However, in December 2019, Airtel discontinued the Rs 23 plan for prepaid users of all circles, replacing it with the Rs 45 plan that we will discuss later.

Airtel smart recharge Rs 65

In the price range under Rs 100, Airtel offers a Rs 65 smart recharge pack. It doesn’t offer a full talk time benefit but it gives users Rs 55 worth of talk time. Subscribers of this plan will get 200MB of mobile data and a validity of 28 days. In this plan, users are charged 60p per minute for STD calls, local calls, and landline calls.

The Rs 145 plan gives users a full Rs 145 talk time benefit along with 1GB of mobile data. It’s valid for 42 days. Subscribers of this plan will have to pay 30p for each minute of local calls, STD calls, and landline calls.

Airtel smart recharge Rs 245

This plan offers a validity of 84 days, double the duration of the Rs 145 plan. In addition to the full Rs 245 talk time benefit, subscribers of this plan will also get a total of 2GB data for 84 days. Users will also have to pay 30p per minute for landline calls, STD calls, and local calls.

Airtel smart recharge Rs 45

Subscribers in Bihar and Jharkhand will get a 2.5p rate per second for local and STD calls while national video calls cost 5p per second. They have to pay 50p per MB of data, Rs 1 for local SMS, Rs 1.5 for STD SMS, and Rs 5 for ISD SMS. The plan is valid for 28 days. Users in Assam, Tamil Nadu get the same benefits and validity as those in Bihar and Jharkhand.

Airtel smart recharge Rs 49

Subscribers of this plan will get Rs 38.52 worth of talk time along with 100 MB of mobile data. The plan is valid for 28 days. The benefits remain the same across Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Tamil Nadu.

Airtel smart recharge Rs 79

This plan offers Rs 64 worth of talk time and a validity of 28 days. Users of this plan will have to pay 60p per minute for local calls and STD calls. In addition, they will have 200 MB of mobile data.
