According to a report from Open Signal, a network analytics firm based in the UK, Bharti Airtel tops the chart when it comes to games, video, voice app, and download speed.
While the download speed of Jio can’t compete with that of Airtel, the former ranks top when it comes to 4G coverage and availability.

Open Signal tests the mobile experience of India’s four main network operators – Jio, Airtel, BSNL, and Vi in 90 days, starting May 1. The company also examined the experience in India’s 49 largest cities.
In tests to measure user experience with cellular networks when they play mobile games. Airtel came out with the best performance, scoring 55.6/100, followed by Vi and Jio.
According to the report, the tests measure how multiplayer gaming experience is affected by packet loss, jitter, and other conditions of a mobile network. The lower the score, the more likely users will feel that their experience is marred by issues with cellular connectivity.
Airtel ranks top in download speed with 10.4 Mbps, followed closely by Vi with 10.1 Mbps. The third-place belongs to Jio with a speed of 6.9 Mbps.

In the video category, the telco also ranks top for the fourth time in a row and it’s also India’s only operator to be placed in the Good category.
Vi, or the merger of Idea and Vodafone, is the champion when it comes to uploading speed, scoring 3.5 Mbps, 0.7 Mbps higher than that of Airtel. Vi’s upload speed is also 1.3 Mbps faster than Jio counterparts.
