The Samsung Galaxy A71 is a new mid-range smartphone from Samsung with a 64MP quad rear camera setup and a Snapdragon 730G chipset as highlights.

Recently, Samsung officially introduced the Galaxy A71, the next member of its Galaxy A-series. This is a high-end model equipped with quad rear cameras and is the first Samsung smartphone to own a 64MP camera. Here is our Samsung Galaxy A71 review where we will go through multiple aspects of this phone.

The Galaxy A71 looks very similar to the newly launched Galaxy A51, showing that this will be the common design language of the Galaxy A series this year.

This device uses Gorilla Glass for the front panel awhile the back is finished in glossy plastic in a four-sided curved edge design. This makes the overall weight of the phone quite light but the grip is quite comfortable to use.

The Galaxy A71 is equipped with Samsung diamond-shaped design to separate each different color shades. It is also available in three colors: Black Crush Diamond, Silver Crush Metallic, Blue Crush Multicolour.

The highlight on the back is not only eye-catching colors but also the L-shaped camera cluster that has appeared in the Galaxy A51. Accordingly, this A-series phone is equipped with 4 rear cameras, including a 64MP f / 1.8 main camera, a 12MP f / 2.2 super-wide camera, a 5MP f / 2.2 depth camera, and a 5MP f / 2.4 macro camera.

This is also the first smartphone of Samsung equipped with a 64MP sensor, promising to be a new factor in the smartphone megapixel race between manufacturers. The quad-camera setup is also enhanced with AI along with the steady video recording feature. Besides, the Galaxy A71 still uses the 32MP selfie camera with the same beauty and background capture features as the Galaxy A51.

The Galaxy A71 is also equipped with the same Infinity-O Super AMOLED screen as the high-end product lines. With a 6.7-inch size, 20: 9 screen ratio cinema, Full HD + resolution, the screen of the Galaxy A71 offers good quality even in the sunlight. Along with that, the relatively thin screen border helps the size of the device is not too large and provides an "infinity" experience.

As for hardware configuration, the handset owns a Snapdragon 730G processor built on an 8nm process with 8 cores including 2 Kryo 470 Gold cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and 6 Kryo 470 Silver cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. This processor uses Adreno 618 GPU and is aided by 6/8GB RAM and 128GB of storage (supports microSD up to 512GB). It is also protected by an under-display fingerprint sensor.

Besides, the battery of the device has a capacity of up to 4,500mAh and supports 25W fast charging capability like its predecessor Galaxy A70 and Galaxy Note10. Aside from the USB Type-C port, this smartphone is still equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack for users to use conventional headphones.

The Galaxy A71 came in two models - 6 GB RAM / 128GB storage and 8GB RAM / 128GB storage. However, Samsung might just bring one variant to the Indian market. A source claims that the device could be priced at Rs. 29,990.
