Samsung officially launched its latest A-series smartphone at the end of this year. The new Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A71 are the first two smartphones in the new Galaxy A 2020 series. We have an opportunity to experience the Galaxy A51 for a while, and here are our first thoughts about the mid-range Galaxy A51.
The Galaxy A51 uses a mirror-like back with a multi-colored diamond-shaped design. Users can see this pattern on the Galaxy A50s launched earlier in the year. It also comes in 3 colors: Blue Crush Multicolour, Black Crush Diamond and Sparkling White Crush.
The highlight on the back is not only the tone but also the camera cluster that is designed in a strange L shape. Combined with the LED flash it forms a black rectangle camera cluster on the left corner of the back. On Apple’s iPhone 11 series, we have a square camera cluster, now Samsung offers a rectangular cluster.
Accordingly, this A-series handset is equipped with four rear cameras, including a 48MP f / 2.0 main camera, a 12MP f / 2.0 ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree field of view, a 5MP f / 2.2 depth sensor and a 5MP f / 2.4 macro camera. This is also the first smartphone of Samsung equipped with a macro camera, promising to bring a new close-up shooting experience for users.
Galaxy A51 is also equipped with Infinity-O Super AMOLED, which were only available on the high-end product line. Now, Samsung is also using it on its mid-range lineup. With a 6.5-inch size, 20:9 screen ratio, Full-HD + resolution, the display of the Galaxy A51 promises to bring a stunning and sharp visual experience, allowing users to enjoy watching movies and playing games.
As for hardware configurations, the Galaxy A51 equipped with Exynos 9611 processor, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal memory (supports microSD up to 512GB), a fingerprint sensor under the screen. The device owns a 4,000 mAh battery, promising to bring an all-day battery life. Galaxy A51 has built-in fast 15W fast charging technology, which is said to provide 3 hours of communication, 3 hours of watching movies and 10 hours of music listening with just 10 minutes of charging.
The camera cluster is made quite thin, if you use the back cover, it will certainly be difficult to scratch during use.
The USB-C connector, especially the 3.5mm headphone jack, still retain on this smartphone.
Galaxy A51 will officially be up for sale on 27 December with a price of Rs. 24,500.
