On Geekbench, a new Xiaomi smartphone named Black Shark Skywalker was spotted listed with some of its key specs. This one is thought to be the successor to the Black Shark and according to the site, it sports 8GB RAM and Snapdragon 855 processor.

The Black Shark Skywalker
This phone is revealed just after the Cepheus (codename for Xiaomi Mi 9), which features the same SoC and RAM of 6GB, appeared on that very site. On the 10th of January, Xiaomi also launched its next smartphone under the Redmi brand with the 48MP Sony IMX568 sensor.
Now go back to the Xiaomi Black Shark Skywalker, from the listing on Geekbench, this phone will run Android 9 Pie, be powered by a Snapdragon 855 SoC, and 8GB RAM. The Black Shark Skywalker achieves 3,494 and 11,149 in the single-core score and the multi-core score respectively. This listing was discovered by PlayfulDroid.
Recently, a poster was leaked, which revealed that the successor to the Xiaomi Black Shark would be named Black Shark 2 and planned to be launched in October. However, what really happened was the Black Shark went to global market in November. With this latest spotting on Geekbench, we have reasons to believe that the Skywalker will be out in no time.
The Xiaomi Black Shark appeared on the Chinese market in April so this new phone could have the same launching date. There are some other names believed to have the same processor, which are Samsung Galaxy S10 and Sony Xperia XZ4. While this piece of information still needs confirmation, the OnePlus 7 has been given an assurance that it will sport this new Qualcomm processor.

The Xiaomi Black Shark
With the minimum price of RMB 2,999 (around Rs. 31,000), the Xiaomi Black Shark features a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with a 1080x2160 pixels resolution. Its processor is the Snapdragon 845 SoC and users can acquire the phone with RAM of either 6GB or 8GB. Measured 190 grams in weight, it has dual cameras on the rear with two sensors of 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel, as well as a selfie sensor of 20-megapixel. The battery has 4,000Ah in power and users can choose between two storage options, 64GB and 128GB.
