Upcoming LG Smartphones Will Likely Have Punch-Hole Display, Patent Suggests

Future LG smartphones will come with a punch hole display camera and will also have a triple camera module at the back along with a bright LED flash.

South Korean multinational electronics company LG was granted a patent for a new smartphone by the Turkish Patent Institute. The company is going to use this technology for the first time in its smartphones, while other smartphone companies are already using it. Accordingly, future LG smartphones will come with a punch hole display camera and will also have a triple camera module at the back along with a bright LED flash.

If the information is correct, it will be the first LG smartphone to boast the punch hole technology. Nowadays, almost all smartphone maker companies like Samsung, Honor, etc., have already adopted this technique and offered a full-screen display, almost bezel-less display and have also removed the earpiece from the front. In this race, LG doesn't want to stay back and want to try this technology in its upcoming smartphones as other technology giants.

Additionally, Tigermobile.com has shared some pictures of LG's upcoming smartphone. As can be seen from the image, a fingerprint sensor is placed at the back side and; the power button and volume buttons are both placed on the left side. Now coming to the design section, the design is similar to LG's V40 ThinQ device in which the company offers five cameras and it was launched by the company in October 2018.

But when a patent was searched in the regulator's publicly available database, it was not found, which means either LG requested to the authority to hide this information from the public or it could be utterly fake news. So don't expect to see punch hole technology in LG's upcoming smartphones. However, not to surprise, if it becomes a reality.

As of now, everyone is waiting for the June 26 event which will be organized in New Delhi and in which India LG might unveil its new LG W10. And maybe, it will be the first smartphone in LG's W series in which users will get the chance to see a punch hole display camera.
