Entry-Level Nokia 2.2 Launched In India With Helio A22 & 5.7" Display

HMD Global has just announced a new budget Android One phone dubbed Nokia 2.2. This new smartphone offers key features that users need for a very affordable price tag of Rs. 6,999.
The handset comes with a decently-sized screen and a rounded polycarbonate design. It is also a part of Google’s Android One program so it comes with a near stock version of Android 9 Pie and will highly get updated to Android Q in the future.
Nokia 2.2: Price
The base variant of the Nokia 2.2 will be priced at Rs. 6,999. It packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. You can also buy higher variants with 3GB of RAM / 32GB of storage for Rs. 7,999. The company also reveals the global pricing of the phone to be $112, which is slightly higher than the phone’s Indian price. There will be two available colors which are Steel and Black, and it will go on sale from 11 June.
Nokia 2.2: Specifications & Features
The handset sports a 5.7-inch IPS LCD screen with an HD+ (1,520 x 720p) resolution and a dewdrop notch on top housing a selfie camera. Powering the phone is an Helio A22 quad-core processor with 2GB / 3GB of RAM and 16GB / 32GB of storage that is expandable using a microSD card. It is fueled by a 3,000 mAh battery via a micro-USB port.
In terms of camera, the phone comes with a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a single LED flash. For selfies, it is equipped with a 5MP camera on the front. Software-wise, it is an Android One phone so it ships with a near stock version of Android 9 Pie and is promised to get Android Q update in the future. With that, the Nokia 2.2 stands out in the entry-level segment already as most of them don’t get a lot of updates from their manufactures.
