Top Three Best Selling Premium Smartphones In India

Coming to the premium smartphone manufacturers in India, Counterpoint Research listed three top smartphone companies, including OnePlus, Samsung and Apple.

Sitting on the first position is OnePlus – The Chinese smartphone manufacturer captured up to 30% share of the premium segment. OnePlus’s success has been allegedly due to its rational social media strategy.

The second spot belongs to Samsung with 28% share which is 3% higher than Apple. The two latest iPhone models (iPhone XS and XS Max) has appeared to gain more share for Apple in the India market.

However, Apple hasn’t been in the top-three smartphone model list. These positions include OnePlus 6, Samsung Galaxy Note 9, and Samsung Galaxy A8 Star.

1. OnePlus 6

The handset came into the India market in May 2018, with three variants which are classified into RAM and storage capacity. The models’ prices are of different levels: the 6 GB model is for Rs 34,999, the 8 GB one costs Rs 39,999 and the last model – 256 GB model is priced at 43,999.

2. Samsung Galaxy Note 9

Counterpoint Research revealed the Galaxy Note 9 was in the second position in the list. The phablet was first introduced in August 2018 and has rapidly gained the tech community’s interest. Its price ranges from Rs 67,900 to Rs 84,900 according to RAM and storage capacity.

3. Samsung Galaxy A8 Star
