These are the top 10 highest-grossing apps in the Android platform in the world in 2018 and only three apps are made by US-based companies.

Revenue generated from social networking apps were among the highest on Android platform in 2018, but those apps are not all from the US-based tech giants you are expecting to see.
App analytics platform Sensor Tower had made a list of the highest-grossing apps on the Android platform this year though they used data from 1 January 2018 to the end of November 2018, so don’t be surprised if you see some changes in the 2018 revenue figures next year.
There are a total of three apps featuring on both top 10 highest-grossing apps on both iOS and Android platforms, and those apps are made by companies from the US.
Below are the list of top 10 apps with the highest revenue figures this year.
10. HBO Now
Its revenue in 2018: $38.5 million (around Rs. 270 crores)

9. LINE Manga
Its revenue in 2018: $49.4 million (around Rs. 346.5 crores)
What it does: Manga reader app

Its revenue in 2018: $57.4 million (around Rs. 402.6 crores)
What it does: Mobile instant messaging application

7. Azar
Its revenue in 2018: $66.1 million (around Rs. 463.6 crores)
What it does: Random live-chat app

6. Netflix
Its revenue in 2018: $97.8 million (around Rs. 686 crores)
What it does: Internet entertainment service

5. Bigo Live
Its revenue in 2018: $100.4 million (around Rs. 704.2 crores)
