Tecno Spark 5 Unveiled In India For Rs. 7,999: Quad Cameras & 5,000mAh Battery

Tecno has just released a new phone in India called Tecno Spark 5. The handset was first introduced earlier this month and finally comes to the Indian market in the budget segment. The phone is placed in the sub-Rs. 10,000 segment and will compete against budget phones from Chinese phone makers like Realme, Redmi, and OPPO. In case you don’t know, Tecno is owned by Transsion Holdings, which is also the parent company of other brands like iTel and Infinix. 

Tecno Spark 5: Price in India & Availability

Tecno only offers a single model of this phone that packs 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. With that, it seems like the Rs. 7,999 price tag of this phone is a bit too high. At the same price, the Redmi 8 even offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage, which is twice as much. 

You will be able to purchase the device from 25 May in Spark Orange or Ice Jadeite via offline stores across the country.

Tecno Spark 5: Specifications & Features

Its specs include an Helio A22 quad-core chipset, which is built on the 12nm process. Paired with the chipset is a PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. On the front, there is a 6.6-inch LCD display that features a water-drop notch style and HD+ resolution. The handset runs on Android 10-based HiOS 6.1 to take care of the software side of things and has a triple card slot for two SIM cards and a microSD card. 

In terms of camera, the device comes with a quad-camera cluster at the back, including a 13MP main sensor, a 2MP portrait camera, 2MP macro camera, and a QVGA sensor. For picturing selfies, the phone is equipped with an 8MP camera on the front. Under the hood, it gets a beefy 5,000 mAh battery that will likely offer users at least two days of battery life at moderate usage.
