Transsion Holdings Group’s sub-brand Tecno has just announced its Phantom 9 in India. This new phone sports a triple camera setup at the back with camera features like the Night algorithm 2.0 to improve its low-light photography, and Google Lens support. Other highlights include a 6.4-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED panel and 3,500 mAh battery. It is also the first phone below Rs. 15,000 to ever boast an on-screen fingerprint reader.
Tecno Phantom 9: Price
The handset will be available for sale in India at Rs. 14,999 and come in a single Lapland Aurora color variant. You can start purchasing the handset from 17 July via Flipkart.
Tecno Phantom 9: Specifications
The device boasts a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 2,340 x 1,080p resolution and a dewdrop notch at the top for the selfie camera. Its display also has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.47 percent. Powering the phone is an Helio P35 octa-core processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage that can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card slot. In terms of software, it ships with Android 9 Pie at launch with the company’s HIOS 5.0 on top. As mentioned, the handset features an in-display fingerprint reader embedded under the display for biometric security.
Moving to the camera department, the handset is equipped with a triple camera system at the back. The setup includes a 16MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. They are supported by many modes like Animoji, Bokeh Mode, Microspur, HDR, Beauty, Panorama, Auto Scene Detection, and AR Mode. on the front, it sports a 32MP AI camera with an f/2.0 lens, dual-LED flash, and 79.4-degree field of view for taking selfies and video calling. Finally, it is fueled by a 3,500 mAh battery under the hood. Its connectivity options are Wi-Fi, 4G VoLTE, GPS+GLONASS, and Bluetooth 5.0.
