Tecno Camon 16 Landed In India As Cheapest Phone With 64MP Quad Rear Cameras

Tecno Camon 16 is a new affordable smartphone launched in India, featuring a punch-hole display, 64MP quad rear cameras, and a massive 6.8-inch display. Not just that, the device also arrives as the cheapest phone in the segment with a 64MP quad-camera lens setup.

The Tecno Camon 16 is priced at Rs. 10,999 in India in two color variants, including Purist Blue and Cloud White. You can purchase the phone during the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale, starting from October 16.

On the front, the Tecno Camon 16 is wrapped by a large 6.8-inch display that supports HD+ (1,640 x 720p) resolution, a tall 20.5:9 aspect ratio, and a peak brightness of 480 nits. At the top left corner, it gets a punch-hole cut-out that is used to house a selfie camera. Powering the phone is an Helio G70 chipset, aided by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, that could be further expandable with a microSD card. It ships with Android 10 out of the box with HiOS 7.0 running on top to take care of the software side of things. 

Moving to the camera department, the quad-camera lens system of the Camon 16 consists of a 64MP main sensor and three 2MP units, two of which tare macro and portrait cameras. They are backed by multiple features like AR mode, face beauty, body shaping, macro mode, auto scene detection, HDR, slow-mo videos, document scanner, and more. On the front, there is a 16MP shooter for taking selfies and video calls. Its back is mounted with a fingerprint reader for biometrics security. Finally, it gets a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and connectivity features like Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, among others.
