Sharp AQUOS V have been released officially in Taiwan. The most interesting fact about the phone is that it draws power from a Snapdragon 835 SoC, which is Qualcomm’s flagship chipset back in 2017. It seems a questionable decision from the brand since the processor is already two years old and there are better choices on the market. The phone also features a dual camera cluster and a notch-free display with a 18:9 aspect ratio. It comes with Android 9 Pie pre-loaded and packs a 3,090 mAh battery. Its dimensions and weights are 157x76x9 mm and 173g, respectively.

Sharp AQUOS V: Price
The new Sharp AQUOS V smartphone is retailed at 6,990 TWD (roughly 16,400) in Taiwan and it is only available in a single hue, Starry Black. As for international launch, the brand hasn’t mentioned anything about it yet.
Sharp AQUOS V: Features & Specifications

The AQUOS V comes with a 5.93” IPS LCD panel that supports Full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,160 pixels) resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 835 octa-core chipset, accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable via a microSD card slot). For software, it is pre-installed with Android 9 Pie to take care of the software side of things.

For photography, it has a dual camera cluster at the back, including a 13MP main sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 and OIS, and a 13MP secondary sensor. Upfront, users can use an 8MP shooter to take selfie shots or video call. Security-wise, the brand goes for a fingerprint reader at its back for biometric authentication. As mentioned, it is fueled by a modest battery with 3,090 mAh in capacity and can be refilled via a USB-C port at the bottom. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, and 4G LTE.
