Five years ago, an Android smartphone with a removable battery was very common. But now, we rarely see such a smartphone. But surprisingly at CES 2020, Samsung has just launched a super-durable smartphone and especially has a removable battery called Galaxy XCover Pro. Specifically, the handset packs a 4,050 mAh battery, IP69-certified for water and dust resistant. It also comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ LCD display, Exynos 9611 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage.
Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro: Price & Availability
The Galaxy XCover Pro will be available for sale from the end of this month with a price of €500 (around Rs. 39,700). Finland will be the first market to get the phone. For now, Samsung hasn't announced the Galaxy XCover Pro launch date in India yet.
Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro: Specifications & Features
The new Galaxy XCover Pro is equipped with a removable 4,050 mAh battery. So if you prepare in advance, you can easily remove and change the battery when it's out of power, instead of having to carry a spare charger.
However, the most remarkable thing about the Galaxy XCover Pro is not only the removable battery but also the super-durable and shockproof design. The smartphone is IP69-certified for water and dust resistant and can survive a drop from a height of 1.5m. The touch screen can work even when you are wearing wet gloves.
Besides, the hardware configuration of the Galaxy XCover Pro is not really impressive. The smartphone is equipped with a 6.3-inch 1080p LCD screen, Exynos 9611 chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB capacity.
The Galaxy XCover Pro has a dual rear camera, with a 25MP main sensor and an 8MP wide-angle camera. Perforated selfie camera with 13MP resolution. On the front, its 8MP selfie camera is housed in a punch-hole on the top left side of the display.
