In 2015, Samsung first launched the Galaxy A product line with three representatives Galaxy A3, A5, and A7. Their successors are the Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy A, although only in the mid-range segment, are focused on sleek and premium Samsung. The Galaxy A 2015 generation is one of the first Samsung models to have a metal frame (at a time when Samsung was criticized for "abusing" plastic material). A year later, the Galaxy A 2016 overwhelmed users by a two-sided design of toughened glass combined with a metal frame, inspired by two flagships of that era: Galaxy S6 and Galaxy Note 5. At launch, the Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 price in India was set at Rs. 25,990.
In early January of this year, Samsung officially launched the 2017 generation of the Galaxy A. The Galaxy A 2017 series this year continues to inherit the design of the high-end Galaxy S7 series. However, with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S6 not having much change in design language, will Samsung bring something new to the Galaxy A this year? The Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 and Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 release date in India is 2 January 2017. Let's unbox these devices and take a look at them.
The Galaxy A5 & A7 2017 has the same packaging as the 2016 version, adding only the 2017 number in the upper right corner.
At the back are several key features of the devices.
The Galaxy A7 has a 5.7-inch screen, while the A5 is 5.2-inch. Included accessories are a fast charger, a USB-C cable, headset, user manual.
This is the Galaxy A7 2017 Pink and the Galaxy A5 2017 Black.
A new feature of Galaxy A 2017 is the always-on display. This screen can help users quickly check the time, calendar, battery life, and notifications without having to turn on the phone.
Galaxy A 2017 is rounded on four sides like the 2016 generation. Losing the tough "masculine", but in return, these curves make it more comfortable holding the phone, especially a smartphone with a big display like the Galaxy A7 2017.
It feels much more comfortable holding the Galaxy A 2017 thanks to the curved back, just like the Galaxy S7.
Similar to other smartphones with a glass panel, the backs of the two devices are easy to get fingerprints.
Samsung has moved the speaker to the right edge of the device, above the power button
The new generation Galaxy A 2017 is equipped with a USB-C port, which provides convenient connection and speeds up data transfer.
Galaxy A 2017 owns a 16MP main camera with f / 1.9 aperture. Unlike most smartphones today, this camera is completely flat against the back and does not protrude
Not only focusing on the rear camera, but the front camera of the Galaxy A5 / A7 2017 is also heavily invested with up to 16MP resolution, the largest ever on a Samsung device. Its aperture is also f / 1.9
However, the key feature of the Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 is the IP68 water resistance. The A7 can survive easily after being dropped into a water bowl. However, if water enters the USB-C port, the device will display a warning and require users not to charge it until it is completely dry.

Battery Life
You can see a detailed ranking of the battery life of some famous phones today below, the Samsung Galaxy A (2017) duo only lost to Moto Z Play Droid, the smartphone owned a 3,510 mAh battery.
The reason the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) have such a good battery life is that Samsung has optimized the new Exynos 7880 processor to work smarter, combined with the power-saving mechanism. The amount and battery are quite large. When operating, Samsung will freeze the background running apps that drain the battery, and the processor will only run at 4 low-core cores in normal tasks while the other 4 high-core cores usually only activate when you're playing heavy games. Also, it is unclear if Samsung has any other tricks with the Galaxy A series batteries, as this series has a longer battery life than the high-end Galaxy S series.
Not only is the long battery life, but the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) and Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) have also extremely fast charging speeds. The charging time of the Galaxy A5 (2017) is an hour and a half, while the Galaxy A7 (2017) is only a few minutes slower. Apple products are proved to be much worse in the charging rate department when the Apple iPhone 7 Plus took 197 minutes, which means more than 3 hours to fully charge 100%, twice as long as the Galaxy A7 (2017).
Durability:
XEETECHCARE on Youtube has conducted a durability test for three new Galaxy A series 2017 products: Galaxy A3 2017, Galaxy A5 2017 and Galaxy A7 2017.
In this test, the YouTuber dropped all three new Samsung smartphones at medium heights. As you can see the drop position is at chest height, simulating the user being dropped. The drop results show that the damages began to appear clearly on the Galaxy A3 2017, Galaxy A5 2017 and Galaxy A7 2017 right in the first drop. Although the front panels of the three smartphones are not affected, the back of the glass has appeared many cracks.
In the next experiment, he tested how the drop affects other parts of the phone like the front and the frame. The results are quite clear, the metal frame of the Galaxy A3 2017, Galaxy A5 2017 or Galaxy A7 2017 are very solid and do not suffer much impact at face height. Meanwhile, the front is made of the same tempered glass as the back so all three smartphones cracked after a strong impact.
Conclusion:
Both Galaxy A smartphones are great choices in the mid-range segment. It can be seen that the Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 price in India was offered by Samsung India at Rs. 25,900, and that is quite reasonable. The handset is still strong in design, but that will not be the only advantage of this model this year, but also the features and upgrades inherited from the flagship models. Specifically, they are IP68 water-resistant, fast charging technology, USB-C port, high-quality camera, Always-on Display, and software suite to bring the experience like the Galaxy Note7.
