Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea And Airtel To Hike Charges Next Month

In yet another setback to telephone users in India, Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea and Airtel will increase tariff charges effective next month. Last week Vodafone Idea had reported a loss of Rs 50,921 crore in its second quarter, highest loss reported by any Indian corporate. While Airtel posted the loss of Rs 23,045 crore. "To ensure that its customers continue to enjoy world-class digital experiences, Vodafone Idea will suitably increase the prices of its tariffs effective December 1, 2019," Vodafone Idea said in a statement.
Airtel provides monthly plan staring Rs 24 without data, Rs 35 plan allows its subscriber to use data, whereas Vodafone provides a similar plan but with Rs. 33 plan including data. The telco had also announced that they are awaiting a positive response to their review petition in the apex court. Bharti Airtel had raised similar concerns and had said,

Meanwhile, in a recent update, Reliance Jio is likely to increase charges in the next two weeks.
Well, Indian telephone users will have shell extra money despite being charged for Prime memberships. The Indian government is yet to resolve the issue pending with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
