Redmi Note 7 Reportedly Exceeded 1 Million Units Sold In Under A Month

Xiaomi has sold more than 1 million Redmi Note 7 smartphones in less than 1 month although the tech giant hasn't even brought the handset to other countries like India.

The Redmi smartphones have always been the public's favorite product since the inception stage, especially to customers who are concerned about prices. It is reported that Xiaomi has announced the sales number of the Redmi Note 7 in the period from January 15th to February 11th, emphasizing their dominance of the market. As stated by Xiaomi, they have sold more than a million Redmi Note 7 phones in China in less than 1 month since its release. As Redmi had been separated into an independent brand, they still seem to have maintained the support of fans.

Redmi Note 7 is the first product introduced by Redmi since its separation from Xiaomi. The handset packs a Snapdragon 660 chipset along with as much as 6GB RAM and internal storage of up to 64GB. The affordable handset includes a 6.3-inch Full-HD+ LCD screen, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The screen is made from Corning Gorilla Glass 5, which protects it from shock and scratches, the phone is also equipped with a waterdrop notch on top carrying the selfie camera.

As for the phone's camera system, the device includes two rear cameras, consisting of a 48MP main sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, a 5MP secondary sensor with a depth-sensing function and dual LED flash. Redmi Note 7 has a 13MP front camera. The phone's battery has the capacity of 4000 mAh, allowing the phone to be used all day once fully charged.

The handset is priced at 999 Yuan in China, equivalent to approximately 10,400 Indian Rupee. The device is set to be introduced in India on 28 February. Taking into account the popularity of Redmi Note 7 in China, we can predict that Redmi will achieve a similar sales figure in India as long as the company can meet customers' demands.
