Realme U1 Beats Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro In AnTuTu Benchmark Test

Realme, a Chinese brand established just 6 months ago, has quickly expanded the number of smartphones launched in the Indian market with a very impressive rate. The Chinese brand and former subsidiary of Oppo has already launched 4 phones in India and now is about to reveal the 5th one in the upcoming week. Realme U1, the next selfie-centric phone of Realme, has been revealed to be powered by the Helio P70 SoC of MediaTek. But is this MediaTek chipset good? Actually, yes.

Smartprix was able to grab an image that showed 3 phones running benchmarking test with AnTuTu app. One of the three smartphones has the model name RMX1833, the same as the Realme U1’s. The other phones are the upcoming Redmi Note 6 Pro of Xiaomi and Honor 8X with the model name JSN-AL00a.

If this image is actually legit, the overall AnTuTu benchmark score of Realme U1 is 145,021 which is higher than the Honor 8X with only 139,974 and much better than Redmi Note 6 Pro with only 115,611.

So, what higher benchmark means? It shows that the Helio P70 of the Realme U1 has higher performance than both the Snapdragon 636 and Kirin 710 (at least in terms of benchmark score), which power Redmi Note 6 Pro and Honor 8X respectively.

The report of Smartprix notes that the chipset of Realme U1 was still benchmarked as Helio P60, which means that the AnTuTu app probably has not updated to include the new Helio P70. However, as the phone is indeed Realme U1, the chipset on the test is definitely Helio P70.

While the Honor 8X already released in India for some time now, the Redmi Note 6 Pro and Realme U1 are only soon to be launched. It is fun to see how these 3 mid-segment phones compete against each other in the performance aspect in the real world.
