Oppo had previously trademarked the Oppo Find Z name earlier in the year, but it appears that it will not be the name of the upcoming successor to the Oppo Find X. Recently, a few reports and rumors about this upcoming phone have already surfaced online. It is tipped to feature an in-display selfie camera that has already been teased by the company recently. However, its exact name hasn’t been finalized yet. Now, Oppo just trademarked another name ‘Find Y’. will this be the name of the upcoming game-changing phone from the Chinese brand?

The Oppo Find X was launched with a few innovations in design and it was also the first handset to come with a motorized mechanism that hides all front and rear cameras. The Chinese phone maker has already scheduled a launch event on 26 June, where it is expected to reveal more details regarding its in-display selfie camera technology. There is also a possibility that the brand will announce the successor to the Find X as well.
For now, we haven’t got much information about the upcoming successor to the Find X. We can’t even confirm whether Oppo will launch such phone, but we doubt that Oppo trademarked the Find Y and Find Z names just for fun. Considering the Find X, Y, and Z name, the Oppo Find Y should be the Find X’s successor. The company announced the Oppo Find X in July 2019 which is almost a year ago. Therefore, there is a good chance that the brand will release either Oppo Find X2 or Find Y in the upcoming event.

The Find X did make its way to India. Hence, if Oppo is planning to launch the Find Y with an in-display selfie camera, it will likely come to the Indian market as well. We are only one day away from the 26 June event. Will the brand announce a new handset with an under-display camera, or the event will be all about the under-display camera.
