OnePlus 8 Pro Listed On AI Benchmark With Top-End Specifications

The OnePlus' upcoming flagship series will reportedly be released sometime next month in two models: OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8 Lite.

OnePlus will announce its next flagship series on 15th April. The lineup will include OnePlus 8, 8 Pro, and 8 Lite. We have already got a ton of leaks and rumors about the three smartphones, including renders, specs, features, and design. Now, the OnePlus 8 Pro has passed through AI Benchmark, which is a platform that benchmarks AI performance stats of desktop and mobile CPUs. The listing once again confirms that the handset will come with a Snapdragon 865 chipset and 12GB of RAM. In the AI score, it earned 33,480 points, which helps it claim the 22nd position in the leaderboard. It is ranked below the Galaxy S20 with an Exynos 990 SoC & Xiaomi Mi 10 with a Snapdragon 865 SoC. Interestingly, the OPPO Find X2 earned a much higher score of 38,638 points despite packing the same Snapdragon 865.

Surprisingly, Huawei’s Kirin 990 SoC actually topped the chart with over 76,000 points in the AI benchmark, which is substantially higher than that of the OnePlus 8 Pro. However, the considerably low scores could be due to the OnePlus 8 Pro and several other phones on the list might be running an under-development software version that has not been fully optimized.

OnePlus 8 Pro: Specifications

The OnePlus 8 Pro specs will reportedly include a 6.65-inch QHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It should be powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The device will be pre-loaded with Android 10 out of the box and OxygenOS running on top. In terms of camera, recent renders suggested that the handset should have a quad-camera cluster stacked vertically on the rear with either a 64MP or 48MP main sensor alongside 16MP + 2MP + ToF sensors. Finally, we expect to see a 4,500 mAh battery under the hood that supports 50W SuperWarp fast-charging standard.
