Nubia Z20 Comes With Curved Main Display And Dual Fingerprint Sensors

TENAA has updated the listing of the second-gen dual-screen smartphone - Nubia Z20, which is set to launch on August 8 in China.

As you may know, the Nubia Z20 previously appeared on a listing on TENAA, which gave us a full view of the phone’s specifications. And now the site has just updated its listing with several images, suggesting the design of the phone ahead of its release date in next month.

If we count the Nubia X and its 5G variant as one, the upcoming phone will be the second dual-screen device from the brand. And this time, Nubia has changed several features for this handset.

In particular, the company equipped an OLED main display for the Nubia Z20 instead of the LCD one found on its first-gen dual-view phone. And as per the TENAA listing, this display measures 6.42 inches and is curved on both the phone’s sides. Certainly, this upcoming phone doesn’t sport any notch or hole-punch display as the company wants to in the beginning.

As per the images, on the front side, the upcoming Nubia Z20 features the similar dual fingerprint design like its predecessor.  Additionally, it’s clear to see the indentations on both the phone’s sides.

Since the TENAA only showed the image of the phone’s left side, we can only clearly see a fingerprint sensor. And above it is a SIM tray slot. Besides, the phone will not support microSD slot, but the brand will offer it in 3 memory variants including 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, and 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant.

The last photo shows the rear panel of the device housing a 5.1-inch OLED screen. The back has undergone some major changes in the design. Accordingly, the triple camera module housing a 48MP sensor, an 8MP sensor, and a 16MP sensor occupies the top part of the panel. The setup is horizontally aligned in the same design as the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus but in the pill-shaped cut-out. This cut-out is sandwiched between two LED flash.

That’s all we know from the latest update of TENAA listing of the upcoming Nubia Z20.  So the information about the phone’s top and bottom remain unknown at present. As the second-gen dual-screen smartphone after the Nubia X, it’s likely that the Nubia Z20 will not feature a headphone jack. Instead, it will sport a USB-C port at the bottom for charging and data transfer. In addition, as per the listing on TENAA, the phone will be backed by a 3,900 mAh battery with fast charging support.

For further information, the device will come in only one red & black mix color variant. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC. In terms of software, the handset will run Android 9.0 Pie at launch. As per the company’s plan, the phone will be unveiled on 8 August in the Chinese market.
