Will Wong, Nubia’s Co-Founder and Brand Director, has recently posted several photos of new Nubia Z20 camera on Weibo. He personally captured these images on a trip in Chile. From the description, the content is primarily based on natural scenery and contains some plants and animals as well.
It seems that the brand is skipping Nubia Z19 and jumping straight to Nubia Z20. The handset will be the successor to the Nubia Z18 which was unveiled in September last year.
Let's have a look at the camera samples below:
However, it is not the first time the Nubia Z20 camera samples have been spotted. However, the new batch clearly shows the quality of the images we can expect.
To recall, Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Dr. Deng Lica (@Astroman201410) previously posted several total solar eclipse photos captured by the phone about one month ago on Weibo. He praised the device’s camera prowess and said it greatly improved over the Nubia Z18. Then the photos were shared by Ni Fei, Co-Founder & President of the company. He added that Nubia Z20 is a new flagship camera handset.
Ni Fei’s post read:
The images seem to have been slightly cropped. However, the EXIF is untouched. It reports a 27mm focal length and an aperture of f/1.8. In addition, as you can see, the max resolution is 12 megapixels, although this is probably a 48-megapixel sensor in the pixel binning mode.
Although this is the second time the Nubia Z20 photos have appeared, there’s still very little information about this handset. It is expected that the handset will be powered by a flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC. In addition, it should arrive with Android 9 Pie at launch. And the brand probably equips the phone with a bigger screen.
