Nokia 9.1 PureView To Debut in Q4: Snapdragon 855, 5G Connectivity, And Improved Cameras

Nokia 9 PureView successor called Nokia 9.1 PureView is tipped to be unveiled in early Q4 2019 with Snapdragon 855 SoC, 5G connectivity, and improved camera setup.

The penta-camera Nokia 9 PureView has been unveiled in the Indian market, which is nearly 6 months since its first launch. According to a recent report, its successor alleged Nokia 9.1 PureView is being developed and will be released soon.

As per NokiaPowerUser, Nokia 9.1 PureView was initially set to debut in the third quarter. However, the launch date has been reportedly postponed to the fourth quarter.

This delay is due to several unresolved problems with some aspects of the device like the camera setup. It is hoped that the postponement will bring positive results in order to avoid negative comments from users for the phone like its predecessor.

Regarding specifications and features, HMD Global is expected to continue to partner with Light. Accordingly, the performance in the camera department should have a great enhancement, especially in video recording and low-light condition. In addition, it is tipped to be more powerful due to a better SoC and upgraded software algorithms that are developed in the coordination with Light.

The upcoming Nokia 9.1 PureView is expected to sport a display with a hole punch design, which is similar to the Nokia X71. There are several prototypes reported with this design. Additionally, the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. In terms of software, the phone will run Android Q at launch and support 5G connectivity. It is not sure that the phone will have an LTE-enabled version.
