Nokia 6.2 & Nokia 7.2 Android One Smartphones Announced With Triple Rear Cameras

Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 7.2 finally go official at its launch event at IFA 2019. Both phones are Android One smartphones with a stock version of Android 9 Pie, PureView display with the always-on tech, a water-drop notch, and a triple camera setup. They also feature a rear panel that are made of polymer composite, which is claimed by Nokia to be twice as strong as the polycarbonate with only half the weight of aluminum. The Nokia 7.2 is positioned slightly higher than the Nokia 6.2. The former comes with a 48MP main sensor and a powerful chipset.
Nokia 7.2 & Nokia 6.2: Prices
The Nokia 6.2 is retailed at 199 EUR (Rs. 15,700) for the entry-level option, and it will go on sale in October. It will come in Ceramic, Black, and Ice color variants.
Meanwhile, the Nokia 7.2’s price is 249 EUR (around 19,700) and will be up for sale in several markets this month. Users can purchase the phone in Charcoal, Ice, and Green colors.
Nokia 6.2: Specifications
As mentioned, the Nokia 6.2 is an Android One phone, so it comes with stock Android 9.0 Pie. On the front, it features a 6.3-inch PureView FHD+ display with a water-drop notch on top for the selfie camera. Powering the phone is a Snapdragon 636 chipset, paired with 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64/128GB of storage.

In terms of camera, the handset is equipped with a triple camera setup at the back with an LED flash. The setup consists of a 16MP main sensor, a 5MP depth sensor, and an 8MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies and video chats, it has an 8MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture housed on the water-drop notch. Under the hood, it packs a 3,500 mAh cell, that can be charged via a USB-C port with 10W charging solution.
Nokia 7.2: Specifications
The handset comes with a 6.3-inch PureView FHD+ display with a dewdrop notch on the top. It is driven by a Snapdragon 660 chipset, coupled with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, which is expandable using a microSD card (up to 512GB). Software-wise, it boots Android 9.0 Pie at launch, and being a part of Google’s Android One program guarantees the phone to get updated to Android 10.

On the imaging front, it also features a triple camera setup as the Nokia 6.2. However, the camera cluster includes a 48MP main sensor with f/1.79 aperture, a 5MP depth sensor, and an 8MP wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it sports a much better 20MP Zeiss quad-pixel shooter for taking selfies and video chats. Fueling the setup is the same 3,500 mAh battery with 10W charging solution support. For security, it has a fingerprint reader at the back.
