Motorola Moto E6s Budget Phone Arrives With 6.1-Inch Display & Dual Cameras

Lenovo-owned Motorola has just released a new smartphone in its E-series dubbed Moto E6s. The device is a new addition to the series alongside Moto E6 Plus, Moto E6 Plus, and Moto E6, three of which were launched last year. The new Moto E6s comes with a water-drop notch display, a dual-camera setup at the back, and Android 9 Pie.

You might notice that it has the same name as the one launched in India in September last year. However, the new model comes with several downgrades compared to the Indian one. 

Moto E6s: Price & Availability

The company hasn’t revealed the Moto E6s, but considering its specs, it should be below Rs. 10,000. It will be up for sale in Europe, Asia, and Latin America in the near future. Two color variants of this phone include Sunrise Red and Peacock Blue.

Moto E6s: Specifications

The handset sports a 6.1” Max Vision IPS LCD display that offers up to HD+ (1,560 x 720p) resolution and has 19.5:9 aspect ratio as well as a 282ppi pixel density. On top of the display, it gets a U-shaped notch that houses a 5MP camera with an f/2.2 lens for selfies and video calls.

Around the back, it is equipped with a dual-camera lens setup aided by a single LED flash. The setup consists of a 13MP main sensor with an f/2.2 lens and a 2MP portrait camera with an f/2.4 lens. The back of this phone is made of polycarbonate and home to a fingerprint reader for biometric security and a Motorola dimple.

Powering the phone is an Helio P22 octa-core chipset along with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage (expandable). In terms of software, it is pre-installed with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. It is fueled by a 3,000 mAh battery that only supports 5W charging solution. Other features include dual SIM slots (single SIM variant is also available), micro-USB port, headphone jack, and Bluetooth 4.2. Finally, it has dimensions of 155.6 x 73 x 8.5 mm and water-repellant, as well as weighs 160g.
