Moto G7 vs. Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro: Specs & Features
Let’s start with the Moto G7. It sports a 6.24-inch Full-HD+ with a dewdrop notch on top with Gorilla Glass 3 protection on both sides. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 632 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM/64GB of storage which is expandable via a microSD slot.
As for the software, it runs a stock version of Android 9 Pie at launch with some features customized by Motorola.
Moving to the Redmi Note 7 Pro, it is overall a better phone in terms of hardware specifications despite having a lower price tag. The handset sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ panel with a dewdrop notch on top which is quite similar to the Moto G7. However, it is the only similarity between the two. Powering the phone is a more efficient and powerful Snapdragon 675 SoC paired with higher 6GB RAM/128GB storage for the same price tag as G7. It also packs a larger battery with 4,000mAh capacity with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0.
In the camera department, the latest Redmi offering also comes with a dual camera system on the rear, including a 48MP main sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. Up front, it also has a 13MP selfie camera compared to the 8MP unit on the G7. As for software, it also runs the latest Android 9 Pie but with Xiaomi’s MIUI 10 on top.
To sum up, you can clearly see that the Redmi Note 7 Pro is, on paper, a better choice over the new Moto G7. Paying the same Rs. 16,999, you can get more storage, RAM, larger battery, better SoC, and also a better rear camera system.
