Mi CC9 Pro Said To Have 108MP Camera And Snapdragon 730G

A tipster has revealed that the Mi CC9 Pro with the 108MP sensor will be powered by a Snapdragon 730G chipset and arrive in October.

A leakster has claimed that Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro with a 108-megapixel camera is going to arrive this month. The statement comes after the company recently unveiled the Mi MIX Alpha concept phone with 108MP camera in the Chinese market. Obviously, the brand would use the sensor for its most high-end smartphone. And Xiaomi Mi CC9 lineup is an all-new range targeted at Chinese millennials. Recently, the brand has 2 models in the series including the regular Mi CC9 and MI CC9e or Mi A3 in the international markets.

According to the leakster, the CC9 Pro would be powered by a Snapdragon 730G chipset under the hood. As the new CC9 series doesn’t come with 64MP camera, the 108MP sensor would be a surprise.  The new rumour probably fans the Mi A3 Pro’s leaks. The latest information is unexpected since speculation was rife that the MIX 3 could have a 108-megapixel sensor on the back. The leakster also has a good track record with leaks about Xiaomi. However, we still should take the info with a pinch of salt.

Mi Cc9

As you may know, Xiaomi has been developing up to four smartphones with 108-megapixel cameras. They have codenames as “cmi”, “umi”, “draco” and “tucana”, according to a previous report. Additionally, none of these phones are tipped to be the MIX 4. Therefore, the company certainly has several devices that will have that camera setup. It remains unknown if the brand will unveil all aforementioned smartphones this year or later. Additionally, it has also not revealed anythign about the new device or teased anything. However, if the phone is launching on 24 October, we could know more details and see teasers in the comping time.

To recall, the Mi CC9e and MI CC9 unveiled back in July had a 48-megapixel sensor on the back, a Snapdragon 710 chipset, and a flat display with no curved edges. The CC9 Pro should be a higher-end variant of the CC9, and its price should be a bit higher as well. So its starting price should be slightly higher than CNY1,799 (approximately Rs. 18,000).
