Meizu is expected to launch its budget Meizu Note 9 in China this week. Right ahead of the official launch event, the phone has surfaced on the benchmarking site Geekbench.

The listing of the Meizu Note 9 on Geekbench confirms that the handset will pack a Snapdragon 675 SoC built on the 11nm processor. It is not really a surprise at all since CEO of Meizu Jack Wong already confirmed that the handset would come with a Snapdragon ‘6510’ SoC. Besides the processor, the listing also reveals that the phone will pack 6GB RAM and run the latest Android 9 Pie at launch.
When it comes to the benchmarking score, the Meizu Note 9 managed to achieve scores of 2,404 and 6,027 points in the single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. Both of these scores are not far from the expectation from a phone powered by a Snapdragon 675 SoC. Previously, the Note 8 was spotted on a TENAA listing, revealing a dual rear camera system stacked vertically on the back and a dewdrop notch on the top of the display.

Even though the full specifications of the handset were not listed on the TENAA listing, the certification agency confirmed that the device would come packed with a 6.2-inch screen and a 3,900 mAh cell. Other rumors also suggested that the dual rear camera setup of the Note 9 would be 48MP and 5MP cameras and there would also be a 20MP selfie camera up front. For security, it is said to feature a fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear as well.
In terms of pricing, the Note 9 is rumored to come with similar pricing to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 which was just launched in the Chinese market earlier in the year. If this is the case, the Note 9 might have an edge over the Redmi Note 7 with a more powerful Snapdragon 675 SoC instead of the Snapdragon 660 SoC on the Redmi Note 7.
