iPhone 11 Lineup May Replace iPhone XS, XS Max, And iPhone XR

iPhone 11 and its two cousins are expected to replace all of the existing Apple’s handheld devices on the market

iPhone 11 and its two cousins are expected to replace all of the existing Apple’s handheld devices on the market. They will be released with A13 chip and a wield-looking setup of cameras on the rear.

The Three Replacements

Currently, the top three models from Apple are iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR. So the replacements are projected to be iPhone 11, 11 Max, and N104. The names, especially the last one, are not the final decision yet. It is highly unlikely that Apple will go for a name like iPhone N104.

From what we know now, Apple has two key models for this year, which are the D42 (iPhone 12,3), and D43 (iPhone 12,1). The codename 12,1 is also known as N104. All the three upcoming models will share the display resolution with their predecessors.

According to 9to5Mac, the 11 model will feature a 3X OLED Retina display while the R variant will have a 2X Liquid Retina display.

New Cameras

The camera setup may feature 3D sensing and wide-angle lens action, the ones we have already had on the iPhone XS.

A new expected feature is Smart Frame, which allows users to have more space on the photo than what is shown in the viewfinder. On the two more expensive models, the selfie camera will have a major update as well.

New Taptics

The upcoming iPhones will come with Taptic Engine, which is called lead haptics. It is believed to be a replacement for 3D touch. The devices will also have Haptic Touch, which is essentially 3D Touch that requires you to press longer.

iPhone 11 Release Date

It is expected that iPhone 11 will be launched on September 20. Users can also pre-order starting 13th September 2019. If Apple maintains its tradition this year, we may officially see the official introduction on the 11th of September.
