Huawei's Kirin 990 5G SoC Mobile Processor Is Coming To India Soon

The recent launch of the Kirin 990 flagship mobile processor by Huawei is going to be seen in India soon. In contrast to other chipsets, Kirin 990 flagship mobile processor is incorporated with a 5G modem. Huawei said that this version would soon be accessible in the Indian markets with their upcoming smartphones, including Mate 30 series. 

The company has not mentioned the exact date, but they are planning to launch Huawei's Mate 30 series in Indian tech markets. Interestingly, these are going to be the first of such flagships coming to India equipped with Kirin 990 SoC. 

Recently, at IFA 2019, Huawei first talked about the Kirin 990 5G processor which they said was the foremost smartphone processor built-in with 5G modem by the company. The company said that a 5G modem could proffer a high download speed of up to 2.3Gbps and upload speeds of 1.25Gbps. Another feature which they mentioned is that it is constructed on a 7nm EUV process to offer extra power efficiency as compared with those processors which have 5G modem placed separately with them.

Well, it is expected that India will begin the 5G services by the second quarter of 2020. Few smartphone manufacturers like Realme and Nokia have shown their engrossment for 5G devices in an affordable range. These companies also expressed that they are ready to bring their 5G services to India next year. Huawei's Kirin 990 mobile processor will first show up in Mate 30 series and then on the P40 series next year. 

As we all can expect the higher cost of 5G mobile phones at this point in time, it might happen with the company that it will bring out both 4G and 5G versions of the Mate 30 series in Indian markets. The company soon also reveals the launch and price of the Mate 30 series in India.
