Huawei is trying its best to keep consumers buying its smartphones. The tech giant is also in an attempt to have new buyers, which is getting more difficult outside China.
In its home market, Huawei is having very good performance as if the U.S ban on Huawei doesn’t have any impact on Huawei. In addition, the new Honor 20 lineup is also getting a positive result.
Honor, Huawei’s sub-brand, has shipped more than one million units of the Honor 20 within only 14 days. Particularly, the brand shipped 30,000 Honor 20 Pro phones within only 3 seconds after the launch on June 18.
As per Revu, the company’s distributors are carrying out a refund program in the Philippines. A full refund is offered for those who bought Huawei tablets and phones in the Philippines from over 30 partner dealers and retailers which are part of the program.
Accordingly, you will have a 100% refund if Google services and apps such as YouTube, Play Store, Gmail and other popular apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram cannot be run on your device. The only condition is that your device should be purchased within two years.
This attractive program is a clear response to the softening sales market and the company's attempt to boost consumer confidence. According to the local media, dealers are offering this warranty on purchased Huawei devices until August. The company has already confirmed the offer, telling a local outlet that it is an initiative of it distributors with dealers.
It is known that this attractive program will be carried out in other markets across the world. Carriers and dealers will need to offset the drop of between 40% and 60% in the global smartphone shipments that Huawei estimates, according to Bloomberg's report. There was also speculation that Huawei will probably pull the Honor 20, its latest phone of its overseas label if its sales are low, though that has been denied by Huawei’s sources.
