Huawei is all set to launch its Huawei Nova 5 series on 21 June. Ahead of the launch, the premium Huawei Nova 5 Pro has just made its appearance on benchmarking site Geekbench. The phone is listed under model number SEA-AL10 and achieved scores of 3,520 points on the single-core test and 9,497 points in the multi-core test. These benchmark scores are in line with the expectations for a phone with the Kirin 980 SoC.
According to the Geekbench listing, the upcoming Huawei Nova 5 Pro will pack 8GB RAM and run Android 9 Pie out of the box. Powering the phone is believed to the in-house Kirin 980 octa-core processor. It is also revealed in previously leaked renders to come with a quad rear camera system and a water-drop notch on the top of the display.
In addition, the official Weibo page of Huawei also posted several selfie pictures shot with the Huawei Nova 5 Pro today. The man in the photos is Huawei Nova series’ brand ambassador Jackson Yee from the popular Chinese boy band TFBoys (The Fighting Boys). Yesterday, the company confirmed that the phone will feature a 32MP front-facing camera and a dedicated night mode for better low-light photography. On the rear, it is expected to sport a 48MP primary snapper and three more sensors that are said to deliver outstanding photos. We also know that Huawei will offer the Huawei Nova 5 Pro in four color variants which are Purple, Orange, Black, and Green. A recent listing on JD.com also shows that it will come in two memory variants -- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage & 8GB of RAM + 256GB of storage.
The upcoming Nova 5 series is expected to include at least two more models which are Huawei Nova 5i and Huawei Nova 5i. The company is also said to introduce its flagship tablet dubbed MediaPad M6 in the same event.
