Huawei is likely to add another smartphone in its Nova series, dubbed Huawei Nova 5 in the coming time. Recently, a series of leaked photos of the Nova 5 have appeared on Weibo, which shows the main design of this handset. Previously, another Weibo leaker also revealed some main features of the upcoming Nova 5.
In terms of the design, the purported case of Nova 5 smartphone features a long vertical cut-out at the top left corner, suggesting that the upcoming smartphone could have a triple rear camera setup. In addition, as per the leaked images, there is no hole for a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel. This indicates that the handset could have an on-screen fingerprint scanner. At the case bottom, there are 3 cut-outs which may be for an audio jack, a charging port, and a speaker. On the right edge, there are cut-outs for the power button and volume rocker while the top has a small hole for the microphone.
As per the previous leak, the Nova 5 smartphone will have some Huawei P30’s features. Accordingly, it will come with the 40W SuperCharge fast charging support like the Huawei P30 Pro as well as three rear cameras like the base P30. In terms of camera, the upcoming Nova 5 is tipped to feature a 40MP primary sensor, a 16MP sensor and an 8MP sensor on the back. Unfortunately, the leaker has not revealed any other information about the smartphone.
However, previous reports showed that the upcoming Huawei Nova 5 smartphone could sport a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution. The handset is tipped to come with a HiSilicon Kirin 980 octa-core SoC under the hood. In addition, it will have a 25MP front-facing sensor for taking selfies. Powering it is a 3,500 mAh cell. Currently, there has been no official information about the smartphone’s launch date. However, some reports revealed that the handset could debut sometime in July.
